2018 March Westin Fishing Rodeo
April 28, 2018
We would like to thank March-Westin for their generosity in sponsoring this event. Parking will be limited, and carpooling is advised. Prizes will be awarded in each age category (<6, 7-10, 11-15): largest fish caught, smallest fish caught, and most fish caught. We will have "My First Fish" certificates available for those who have never caught a fish before and would like to have a photo with said fish, certificate, and grinning angler. We encourage parents, guardians, and participants to focus on the goals of the rodeo which are to: 1) Provide fishing opportunities and fishing experience in a safe, controlled environment. 2) Teach basic angling skills. 3) Help children to develop a stewardship ethic. 4) Offer a positive fishing experience which fosters future interest in fishing. 5) Highlight fishing as one of many potential outdoor family activities. Pre-Registration:

2018 Toboggan Festival
February 25, 2018
The event is scheduled from 12p-2p (or until all contests have concluded). As in years past, we will have a reindeer rodeo, toboggan limbo, race to the base, and other fun options. If you get cold, our warming hut will be open with a fire going to thaw those fingers and toes. Snacks, hot cocoa, and coffee will be available for purchase within the office. Don't already have a sled to bring? A limited number of tubes, toboggans, and saucers will be available for rent within the office on a first-come-first-served basis at a rate of $3-$5/hr depending upon your selection. This event is FREE and fun for the whole family and all age groups, so bundle up and come see us!

Holiday Art in the Park
December 9, 2017
1:00p - 3:00p
Join us for our annual holiday celebration at Chestnut Ridge Park. This year we are painting 8x10" canvases to take home and share. We will have multiple holiday designs to choose from, or create your own. Elves will be on hand to assist with the painting, and Santa will drop by for pictures! The event will be held in the building behind the office, but if we experience warm weather like in 2015, we will move everything outside! Due to the cost of supplies and space, we are capping registration at 30 canvases. PLEASE use the link to sign up. If your plans change and you can no longer attend, please notify us in advance so that we may offer your slot(s) to other children. Thank you.

The West Virginia Hitchers
September 2, 2017
6:00p - 8:30p
The original "Hitchers" was very guitar-centric with pedal steel and percussion layered on top. The new "WV Hitchers" is a more authentic Folk-Americana sound, relying on the powerful songwriting and smooth vocals of Maria that melds with the strength of the lead guitar position, now occupied by Chuck on his pedal steel. Dan and Creed fill out the mix with Dan's subtle and steady percussion as well as Creed's tastefully rich bass lines. Tickets $5, kids 6 and under get in free. The food vendor will be Red Beard BBQ.

Weary Space Wanderer
August 26, 2017
6:00p - 8:30p
Weary Space Wanderer is spreading improvisational, Appalachian-jam over the made-from-scratch material of singer-songwriter Kevin Hamric. Taking the stories built on an acoustic guitar and shaping them into mind-bending trips of Americana and roots-rock exploration, Weary Space Wanderer is nothing short of an eclectic ride into what modern mountain music can be. Tickets are $5, kids 6 and under get in free. The food vendor is Garcia's Latin Market.
